Quick Creamy Banana Honey Shake with Greek Yogurt Classic
Banana Shake
This quick, creamy banana honey shake is one of my go-to recipes when I want a fast, satisfying drink that feels a little indulgent but is surprisingly wholesome. Ripe bananas, thick Greek yogurt and a touch of honey blend up into a silky, frothy treat you can enjoy for breakfast, as an afternoon pick-me-up, or whenever you crave something cool and comforting.
It comes together in five minutes with pantry-friendly ingredients and is endlessly customizable — swap milk for almond milk, add a spoonful of peanut butter for richness, or toss in a few oats for extra body. The texture is lush without being heavy, and a pinch of cinnamon brightens the flavors.
Ingredients
- 2 pieces Ripe banana
- 1 cup Plain Greek yogurt
- 1 cup Milk (whole or your choice)
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 cup Ice cubes
- 1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp Salt
Instructions
-
Peel the bananas and break them into chunks. Place banana pieces, Greek yogurt, milk, honey, vanilla extract, ice, cinnamon and salt into a blender.
-
Blend on high until completely smooth and frothy, about 30–45 seconds. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed, then blend again briefly.
-
Taste and adjust sweetness with an extra teaspoon of honey if desired, or thin with a splash more milk for a lighter consistency.
-
Pour into two glasses, garnish with a banana slice and a light drizzle of honey, and serve immediately.
Tips & Notes
- Use very ripe bananas (brown-speckled) for the best sweetness and flavor—no extra sugar needed.
- For an extra-creamy shake, swap half the milk for a splash of half-and-half or add 1 tbsp peanut butter for richness.
- To make ahead, blend and pour into a jar, then refrigerate up to 24 hours; give it a quick stir or shake before drinking.
