Peach Fruit Pie

There's something utterly comforting about a homemade fruit pie, especially when it's packed with sweet, ripe peaches. The aroma of baked fruit mingling with the buttery, flaky crust is enough to make anyone's mouth water, and I love how this pie brings a little bit of summer to your table any time of year.

This peach pie is straightforward to make but looks and tastes incredibly special. Using fresh fruit and a tender crust, you'll have everyone asking for seconds. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of fresh whipped cream for the perfect treat.

Ingredients

  • 6 pieces Peaches
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg (ground)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 roll Pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F. Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish.

  2. In a large bowl, gently toss sliced peaches with sugar, flour, lemon juice, nutmeg, and salt until well coated.

  3. Pour the peach filling into the prepared crust, spreading it evenly.

  4. Cover the filling with another layer of pie crust or cut strips for a lattice top. Trim and crimp edges.

  5. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then reduce temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 25-25 minutes until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbling.

  6. Allow the pie to cool for at least 2 hours before serving to let the filling set. Enjoy your homemade peach fruit pie!

Tips & Notes

  • Use ripe peaches for the best flavor. If peaches are slightly tart, increase the sugar slightly.
  • For a shiny crust, brush the top with an egg wash before baking.
