Peach Green Tea Lemonade

A cold, lightly caffeinated peach green tea lemonade made with brewed green tea, peach nectar, fresh lemon juice, and plenty of ice.

Prep Time:15 minTotal Time:15 minServings:4Difficulty:Easy

Iced peach green tea lemonade is a simple pitcher drink with a clean tea base, mellow peach flavor, and enough lemon to keep the sweetness sharp. It works well for warm afternoons because the tea is brewed briefly, cooled quickly, and poured over a full glass of ice.

Green tea can turn bitter if it is steeped too hot or too long, so the water should sit for a minute after boiling before it meets the tea bags. A short steep gives the drink color and gentle grassy notes without overpowering the peach nectar.

Peach nectar adds body and fruit flavor that is more consistent than fresh peaches alone. Fresh lemon juice gives the lemonade part of the drink its brightness, while a small amount of honey rounds everything out without making the pitcher syrupy.

Serve the lemonade very cold and stir the pitcher before pouring, since the peach nectar naturally settles a little. Lemon slices and thin peach slices are optional, but they make each glass look finished and reinforce the flavor.

Directions

  1. 1
Hot water resting in a clear jug before brewing green tea

Bring 3 cups water just to a boil, then let it stand off the heat for 1 minute so it is hot but not aggressively boiling.

  2. 2
Green tea bags steeping in hot water

Add the green tea bags and steep for 3 minutes, moving the bags once or twice to evenly flavor the water.

  3. 3
Honey being stirred into warm green tea

Remove the tea bags without squeezing them hard, then whisk the honey into the warm tea until fully dissolved.

  4. 4
Peach nectar being poured into a pitcher of green tea

Pour the sweetened green tea into a pitcher and stir in the peach nectar, fresh lemon juice, and 1 cup cold water.

  5. 5
Pitcher of peach green tea lemonade being chilled with ice

Refrigerate the pitcher for at least 20 minutes, or stir in 1 cup of the ice to chill it quickly if serving right away.

  6. 6
Glasses filled with ice, lemon slices, and peach slices

Fill four glasses with the remaining ice, then add lemon slices and peach slices if using.

  7. 7
Peach green tea lemonade being poured over ice

Stir the pitcher well, pour the peach green tea lemonade over the ice, and serve immediately while very cold.

Ingredients

  • Water:3 cups
  • Green Tea Bags:3
  • Peach Nectar:1 1/2 cups
  • Fresh Lemon Juice:1/2 cup
  • Honey:3 tablespoons
  • Cold Water:1 cup
  • Ice:4 cups
  • Lemon Slices:1 lemon
  • Peach Slices:1 peach

Tips & Notes

  • For a stronger tea flavor, use 4 tea bags but keep the steeping time at 3 minutes.
  • If your peach nectar is very sweet, start with 2 tablespoons honey and adjust after adding the lemon juice.
  • Bottled lemon juice works in a pinch, but fresh lemon juice gives the drink a cleaner finish.
