This Sparkling Elderflower Gin Cocktail is the definition of elegance — it's the kind of drink that makes your wedding guests feel like they're celebrating something truly special. The combination of botanical gin, delicate elderflower liqueur, and bright fresh lemon creates a perfectly balanced sip that's both sophisticated and refreshingly accessible. It's light enough to enjoy throughout the evening without overwhelming the palate, and it looks absolutely stunning in the glass.

What I absolutely love about this recipe is how easily it scales for large gatherings. You can prepare a big batch ahead of time, chill it, and simply top with prosecco or sparkling wine as guests arrive. The elderflower adds that touch of romance and refinement that feels utterly perfect for a wedding celebration, while the bubbles add joy and festivity to every toast.

Tips & Notes

  • Chill your glasses in the freezer for at least 30 minutes before serving — this keeps the drink cold longer.
  • Make a big batch ahead by multiplying the gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, and simple syrup, then refrigerate. Top with prosecco just before serving.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, replace the gin and prosecco with tonic water and ginger ale, and keep the elderflower and citrus.
  • Fresh elderflowers are lovely when in season, but crystallized edible flowers work beautifully as a backup.
  • Don't skip the lemon twist — it adds visual appeal and a lovely aromatic citrus note when squeezed over the drink.
